UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES: Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Contracts

This latest opportunity is a Department of Homeland Security, TSA requirement for Flexible Agile Scalable Teams (FAST) to provide a broad range of integration and customization of information technology mission support systems, applications development of custom software solutions and related services.  The dollar range for this requirement is expected to exceed over $100 million.
TSA is adopting the Federal Government’s “Cloud First”, “SaaS/PaaS First”, “Mobile First” strategies while moving to agile and lean IT delivery approaches.  The required services include Program/Project Management, Subject Matter/Senior Technology Expertise, Agile Application Development and Application Production Support.
TSA anticipates multiple awards of up to seven (7) Blanket Purchase Agreements under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule IT-70. Four (4) BPA’s are expected to be unrestricted, while three (3) will be set aside for small businesses.
Near term 1099 services and consulting opportunities are projected in 2019 to support current and future clients with a wide range of technical, management and advisory services for both pre-award and post-award support.

CURRENT STATUS:

On February 15, TSA issued a special notice in FedBizOps to provide updated information related to their procurement strategy for Solicitation Number: 70T03019FAST_DRAFT.  The agency anticipates scheduling a Pre-Proposal Conference in the near future.  The anticipated solicitation release date is on or before March 13.  The DHS Acquisition Planning Forecast System projects award for the Third Quarter of 2019.

ADDITIONAL NEAR TERM OPPORTUNITY:

The $100 million U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) modernization and support RFP for Enterprise Gateway and Integration Services (EGIS) is scheduled for release in February 2019.  The requirement is to be set aside for small business GSA IT Schedule 70 contract holders.
The DHS Acquisition Planning Forecast System projects award for the Third Quarter of 2019. The contract completion date is currently projected for May, 2021.
