Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project accounting (billing, collections, project management support, revenue recognition, project financial reporting) with project profitability analysis
  • Provide reports on project performance, i.e. project financial statements/operating data and coordination of systems and procedures
  • Assist with the monthly close process and financial statement preparation
  • Prepare G/L account reconciliations and journal entries, to include recurring monthly entries and intercompany reconciliation
  • Prepare P&L and balance sheet analytics, including variance analysis on budget, prior periods and/or prior years
  • Assist in yearly budget process and ongoing forecast efforts
  • Assist with the accumulation and submission of the annual incurred cost submissions
  • Assist in annual Financial and DCAA audits as necessary
  • Set-up contracts in Costpoint and evaluate appropriate revenue recognition methodology, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and all other contractual commitments

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five to eight years of related government contracting experience to include three years of public accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, FAR and CAS
  • 3+ years of Deltek Costpoint experience
  • Must have excellent spreadsheet skills
