Over the last several months many government contractors have been waiting for the imminent release date the of the Alliant 2 vehicle – GSA’s IT services government wide acquisition contract worth over $65 Billion, and the largest GWAC contract to be competed in 2016.
Last week the the procurement contracting officer on Alliant 2, John Cavadias, cleared the air on the GSA website.
Here’s the quick summary
The Alliant 2 RFP is scheduled to be released during the second half of June, 2016. Two separate FBO pre-solicitation announcements will be posted on FedBizOpps around 15 days prior to the RFP release date. The solicitations are still a work-in-progress, and it’s difficult to provide concrete details on revisions since their is potential for further changes.
Reminder, it is not in the best interest of your company to continue to use the previous draft RFP’s to prepare proposals for Alliant 2. These were intended for market research and significant changes can be made in the official RFP.
