On February the 14th, the VA issued a request for proposals (Solicitation # VA119A16R0349) for VECTOR (Veteran Enterprises Contracting for Transformation and Operational Readiness) to show the small businesses community their love.

The proposals are due March 14th with a scope that covers six key areas – management and improvement; analyses; training; outreach; supply chain; and human resources. We anticipate awards to possibly 10 prime SDVOSBs and their teams in each service area.

If you do the math with regard to VA T4 and T4NG, the VA spent on average $850 million a year during the past four years on contracts similar in scope to VECTOR. In essence, approximately $391 million a year in VECTOR TOs for $3.9 billion total during the 10 year life of the contract. That’s a substantial contract for any small business.
